Non stop
I'm just about to finish my 12 hour night shift... and it's 1.29 am.
I'm also just about to start my dayshift tomorrow...
I have to be in Ballarat for a 7.30 start. Which means leaving home at 6. And packing and checking that all the batteries are charged and the equipment is functioning and present.
So why am I here?
Saturday night I went to see the Twits at the Pint on Punt. This Freddy Negro dude, well it was his birthday, and I wanted to see what all the carry on was aboit. And to celebrate the birthday of this world famous celebrity, I had to have a few jars to help him celebrate his day-of-days. Night-of-nights.
Sunday night was drinking white wine, and watching the Australian Open tennis final on the verandah of a mansion in Moonee Ponds. My aunt and uncle were in town, and staying with some friends.
A beautiful night. Homemade pasta with ox tail bolognese sauce. And a tiramisu for afters.
Followed by more wine.
Spare kidneys anybody?
My cousin and her new boyfriend have also moved down from the Gold Coast and are living in an apartment not 5 minutes from my front porch. And to celebrate we all went out for dinner at the Supper Inn.
The best Chinese food in Melbourne. But don't tell anybody ok?
San Choy Bao, Suckling pig, 2 dozen steamed oysters with chili & soy sauce, crispy fried quail, Cantonese Beef, fried rice, and about five other dishes. Not to mention 3 or 4 bottles of wine.
Yum. Serious yum.
So, off to Ballarat tomorrow. Back on Thursday afternoon. Fly to Adelaide Thursday night, Big Day Out on Friday, catch up with friends on Saturday, lunch with my old Biology teacher on Sunday. Back to Melbourne for work on Monday.
I guess I'll have more stories later.
Ooops, make that 1.56 am.
Nite all.

I'd offer, but mine are pretty shot.
where is the Supper Inn? tell me tell me tell me!
Supper Inn is on the left hand side of Celestial Lane as you turn off Little Bourke Street. When I went, there were people lining up down the stairwell for a seat, so best to make sure you book!
The last time I was in Melbourne, I dined at a 'traditional' chinese restaurant where the head chef, was the grand-daughter, of the final chef, for the Last Emperor. Upon his demise, he handed the Emperor's recipes, (another story there) to her and she fled for her life to Australia.
I'll find the name of the restaurant, and let you know.
I highly recommend it!
